The retail competition in Cedar Rapids is heating up with an announcement by Lindale Mall that it is adding three new-to-market national retailers.
The retail competition in Cedar Rapids is heating up with an announcement by Lindale Mall that it is adding three new-to-market national retailers.
Kirkland’s, with more than 340 stores across 35 states, is a home decor retailer. The store will be located near HuHot.
Carter’s and OshKosh B’gosh, which will be located near Younkers, will offer apparel and accessories for babies and toddlers. The specialty stores will offer tops, pants, dresses, swimwear, outwear, shoes and accessories.
The retailers also have stores at the Tanger Outlet Center in Williamsburg.
Lindale Mall also announced that Panda Express will be relocating this summer from the shopping center’s food court to a building near Arby’s on the Collins Road NE side of the retail center.
Panda Express has about 1,800 locations throughout North America, including a stand-alone restaurant at 3510 Edgewood Road SW in Cedar Rapids.
Rosemead, Calif.-based Panda Express offers a variety of menu items, including orange chicken, broccoli beef, honey walnut shrimp, eggplant tofu, fried rice, chicken egg rolls and chicken pot stickers.
The announcement of three new-to-market retailers by Lindale came a day after Frew Development Group of Denver, Colo., which is redeveloping Westdale, said it had signed a lease with Burlington Stores, owner of Burlington Coat Factory, for a 40,400-square-foot anchor store.
