Intrust Bank is committed to keeping its headquarters in downtown Wichita.
But doing so has required a multi-million dollar investment to update the bank’s 90-year-old building at 105 N. Main.
The latest project is a $2 million renovation of the building’s second floor. Work started last week and is expected to be complete this summer. With that project, the overall facility improvement plan will be nearly complete.
Law Co. Inc. is the general contractor.
The project includes work on office and customer areas as well as the installation of new heating and air conditioning equipment. Extensive work also will be done to “refresh” the look of the interior of the building, company representatives say.
Intrust isn’t saying how much it has spent on various upgrades to the building that have been ongoing in recent years.
Another sizable project to refurbish the basement in the building was completed in 2011. That project was valued at $400,000.
