The United States Army partnered with The Law Company to complete a newly built hangar and training facility at the Marshall Army Air Field in Fort Riley, Kansas. The facility is the first of its kind dedicated to their drone program. The Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Grey Eagle Hangar consists of a masonry and steel 24,000 sq. ft. two level office, shop, operations and training center connected to a 27,000 sq. ft. pre-engineered metal building airplane hangar.

The Hangar was connected to existing in-use airfield infrastructure via the addition of approximately 2000 LF of full-service heavy duty taxiways utilizing the latest in Corps of Engineer’s airfield paving specifications. Another specific aspect of this project that increased its complexity included the high-expansion foam fire suppression system in conjunction with standard deferred design building sprinkler systems.
