Blessed Sacrament Church Sanctuary Ceiling & Choir Loft Renovations
Interior renovations to beautify a church that was built in 1951 were completed six weeks ahead of schedule. The original ceilings in the body of the church and the sanctuary were removed and new acoustical sound board installed together with decorative coffered panels and new energy-efficient pendant lights mounted throughout the church. New ceramic tile imported from Italy was installed in the sanctuary and surrounding steps. All church pews were removed and reinstalled in order to strip away old carpet and asbestos tiles and replaced with new carpet. The choir loft was redesigned and modified to make room for an updated organ by converting an existing store room into an additional organ room for organ pipes to be visible and on each side of the choir loft. New brass railing was installed in the front of the choir loft which was custom designed to mimic the style of the altar railing in the sanctuary.
The Law Company received an Award of Excellence from the Associated General Contractors of Kansas Chapter for this project.
