The Law Co. Inc. has secured another Dillons store remodel, this one near 31st Street South and Seneca. Hutchinson-based Dillons is kicking off a multimillion-dollar renovation of its store at 3211 S. Seneca.
Company spokeswomen Sheila Kenton says the renovation will begin May 1 and be wrapped up later this summer. She says the project will include the addition of in-house clinic called The Little Clinic, a Starbucks, a sushi bar and more organic fruit and vegetable offerings. Some exterior improvements also will be made.
Memphis-based Pickering is the architect. That firm is the architect for much of the Dillons work.
This will be the sixth The Little Clinic location in the Wichita area, including one each in Andover and Derby. The Little Clinic also has a Hutchinson location.
A separate contractor will do the work for the buildout in Dillons’ South Seneca store.
Kentucky-based Churchill McGee has pulled a commercial building permit for the work valued at $180,000. The on-site clinic will be next to the pharmacy inside that Dillons.
The Little Clinic is a wholly owned subsidiary of The Kroger Co. (NYSE: KR), the parent company of Dillons. Kroger purchased The Little Clinic in 2010.
The Law Co., meanwhile, has been Dillons’ go-to contractor as the grocer continues to roll out plans to remodel its stores in Wichita.
Law has already started work on a project to remodel the Dillons at 21st Street North and Maize Road. Law’s Wichita Dillons work also includes renovations to the 37th Street North and Woodlawn and the 21st and Rock Road sites.
